3-19-07: Structure Fire Waterloo Rd. and 1st Street
Budd Lake Firefighters Tackle House Fire On the morning of March 19th 07 the Budd Lake Fire Company responded to the corner of First Street and Waterloo Rd. For the report of a house fire. First arriving chiefs found a 2 story home with light smoke showing from the home. As Squad 56 arrived on scene there was a considerable amount of smoke coming from the eves of the house. Firefighters stretched hoses to the second and first floors and started to find and extinguish the fire. Mutual aid fire companies came from Flanders, Netcong, Stanhope and Schooley's Mountain. Tanker trucks came from Bryam and Chester also Budd Lake and Roxbury first aid squads and Mt. Olive Police assisted at the fire. The fire was under control in about 1 hour with no reported injuries.
