Budd Lake Fire Fights Brush Fires.
Budd Lake Firefighters Tackle Two Brush Fires on Saturday April 19th keep firefighters busy starting off with a fire alarm then a report of a brush fire in the Village Green apartment complex where units found a 100X100 foot fire 300 feet into the woods, Engine 53, Squad 56 and Tender 57 stretched a 1 inch line and quickly knock down the fire. After an hour rest a call was received for a transformer fire on Waterloo Valley Road patrol arrived and reported a brush fire as well. After determining that the transformer was not a threat for firefighters command then advised units to start attacking the fire, Engine 53 and Squad 56 stretched a one inch line along with some hand tools and knocked down the fire. The power company arrived and secured the power. After a few hours of rest they were back out this time for a motor vehicle crash on Rt. 46 with a quick clean up all units returned home and called it a night.
