Budd Lake Fire Conducts Open Burn.
The Budd Lake Fire Department held
a training drill on fighting Forest Fires in a field off of Stevens
State Park Road burning about 2 acres of land. The crews dug fire
lines as members of the NJ State Forest Fire Services lit the fires.
The crew drilled on all the tools from rakes to brooms and the use
of bladder bags to control the fires. The crews drilled for two
hours and made sure the fires were completely out.
