Rt. 80 Brush Fire
Budd Lake Firefighters were called
to Rt. 80 at Rt. 206 for a report of wires down and a brush fire.
After finding access to the fire off of Love Lane crews hade to wait
for Power and Light to arrive and shut down the power so the fire
could be put out. The down lines caused a dangerous condition as the
wires were on a fence that went the length of the highway. The New
Jersey Forest Fire Service was on the scene to assist. The lines
caused large power outage in the Bryan Township area close to a
1,000 JCPL customers were with out power. Firefighters cleared after
two hours and the power company remained on the scene repairing
