Firefighters Assist Schooley's
Mountain.
The Budd Lake Fire Department was dispatched to assist Washington Township's Schooley's Mt. Fire Co. with removing a piece of a metal shed from a tree. Ladder 58, Chiefs 50 and 51 arrived and found a 10x20 foot piece of aluminum that was blown by a gust of wind from two blocks away and was hanging 25 feet from a tree branch. Ladder 58's crew along with a crew from Schooley's Mt. Company set up the
Aerial and knocked the piece of aluminum free and fell to the ground without incident. You just can't make this stuff up.
