Mutual Aid to Roxbury

Budd Lake Firefighters Assist Roxbury with Tender 57 Shortly after midnight on Thursday, October 30th the Roxbury Township Fire Companies responded to 343 Berkshire Valley Rd. For a large two storey vacant house that was heavily involved in fire. The first in chief had Roxbury’s 75 foot ladder pull up in the front of the building and start a water tower operation as several hand lines were stretched. The building was vacant so all operations were defensive only. Do to a lack of water in the area Tenders from several towns were dispatched to the scene to assist in a water shuttle operation. The fire was brought under control within two hours and is under investigation by the Roxbury Police, Fire Marshal and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office. Photo’s
