As Budd Lake Firefighters prepared for a detail Friday morning they were called to an MVA just east of their firehouse on Rt # 46. On arrival there was a State Police car off the roadway in the woods, a passenger car and mason dump in the roadway with the driver of the passenger car heavily entrapped. The Trooper was pulled from the car which was smoking by State workers passing the scene. Firefighters worked for 45 minutes to free the driver which was flown by Air One to Morristown.
