Mt. Olive Firefighters Respond to Trailer Fire

Tuesday November 25th at 11:20 am calls came in to the NJ State police for a trailer fire on route 80 east at mm 23.5 State Police contacted Mt. Olive Police who called for all Mount Olive firefighters to respond cars 51 and 52 arrived and reported a fully involved trailer carrying a large load of Rutabagas Engine’s 59 and 95 stretched an inch and three quarter foam line and started knocking down the fire command called for two tenders for a water supply. The fire was deep seated do the many plastic skids in the truck the fire was under control within a half hour crew remained on scene for two hours as the NJDOT used a back hoe to pull apart the trailer and remove the debris. There were no injuries Budd Lake, Flanders, Allamuchy and Bryam fire departments as well as Hackettstown Hospital’s EMS unit were all on scene.
