Firefighters Tackle Brush on Rail Road Tracks

As dry weather continued Mt. Olive firefighters responded to Saxston Falls off Waterloo Valley Rd. in the Budd Lake section along the rail road tracks for a bush fire this one was 50 x 50 and starting to run up the side of the bank. Crews were able to stretch a 1 inch line onto the tracks along with some hand tools and rakes and quickly extinguish the fire. Engines 59, 53, 95 and Bruch 98 were on scene for an hour before returning, train service was interrupted for a short time as well. NJ State Forest Fire was also on scene to assist.
