The new year started off with a small fire in a vacant house on the property of RH Farms on Rt. 46 calls came in for a fire on the side of the house Chief 51 and 52 arrived and reported a fire on the side of the house with minor extension on the inside. Engine 53 stretched a hose line to the inside of the house and held it in check while waiting for the power company to shut down power the fire was burning in the outside electrical equipment on the side of the house. Flanders fire also were on scene to assist with overhaul and cleanup. There were no injuries and all units cleared within 45 minutes.
