On back to back days Budd Lake and Flanders firefighters keep busy with car fires on Interstate 80 the first one came around dinner time on October 4th as calls came in for a car fire on rt. 80 east mm 24 Cars 50,51, &52 arrived and had a fully involved car on the shoulder. Engine 59 came in and stretched their bumper line out and had the fire knocked down within 15 minutes followed by Rescue 97 assisting crews on scene. The next day around lunch time the same units responded back to rt. 80 this time west bound at 25.2 for a car fire this one was going good in the engine compartment crews had that one out within 15 minutes as well. There were no injuries at both incidents.
