Car Fire 206 in Mount Olive

Recently firefighters from Flanders and Budd Lake were dispatched in late morning to a car on fire in the middle of route 206 by main street. Upon arrival of car 50 an 51 there was a car sitting in the middle of the high way with the engine and passenger compartments involved in fire Rescue 97 was first due and starting the attack as engine 59 arrived and assisted. There were no injuries and the fire was knocked down within fifteen minutes. As overhaul was going on and the tow company was hooking the car a half mile up the highway two car crashed and engine 59 responded to that scene and secured the cars there were no injuries. The highway was reopened to all traffic within an hour.
