Budd Lake Assists Washing Twp. Fire

Engine 59 set up a fill site , Tender 57 provided a water supply and Engine 53 stood by at a fire house.
Around 3:30 am early Saturday morning a call came in to the Morris County Communications center for a fire alarm at Lenore Ct. in the Schooley’s Mountain section of the township police arrived an reported a fully involved house fire and all 3 fire companies were dispatched, Fairmont and Long Valley fire along with Schooley’s Mt. Fairmount Fire Chief arrived and requested a 2nd alarm be struck as well as a Tender task force as there are no hydrants in that section of town. All residents were safely removed from the house as units arrived the home was fully involved in fire so a defensive attach was called for with hand lines and a ladder pipe. Two water fill sites were established and a dump site was set up a short distance away from the fire. Crew worked well into the morning to get the fire under control. Most of the mutual aid was released by 6:30 am and the rest by 10:00 am.
