Early Morning Extrication On Rt. 46

Budd Lake N.J. Morris County: A car traveling on Rt #46 at 2am Saturday morning hit a pickup type street cleaner and traveled 178ft before rolling landing back on its wheels. The driver of the car was pinned behind the wheel of the car. Firefighters assisted by the First Aid Squad freed the driver who was transported to Morristown Medical Center. The driver of the street cleaner had minor injuries and was transported to Hackettstown Medical Center. The roadway was closed for 3 hours for investigation and clean-up. While this was taking place a car veered around a police detour and was stopped as it entered the debris field, the driver was arrested for suspected DWI.

Budd Lake Fire Dept responded to Hopatcong to assist with a Tender, during a structure fire. The fire at 10 Old Lakeside Blvd was in a 100 year old house.

Budd Lake Crash Takes Down Traffic Light

Budd Lake Fires third run of the day was a crazy one just after clearing from a porch fire on Baker Lane Squad 56, car 50 and 51 responded to Rt. 46 and Sandshore Rd. for the traffic accident. EMS from Hackettstown Regional Hospital and car 52 were on the scene with a pickup truck that struck a traffic light pole and two other cars ems transported two people to area hospitals as 56 clean up the scene and waited for NJ Department of Transportation to remove the pole from the truck luckily there were no passengers in the pickup truck.
