Budd Lake Assists Allamuchy Fire

Ladder 58 Provided a Rapid Intervention Crew

Saturday night around 4:30 pm calls came into the Warren County Communications center for a barn fire on Long Bridge Rd. in Allamuchy Twp. Upon arrival the large barn was half involved in fire. The first in engine deployed a 2 and a half inch line and started knocking down the fire. The barn was next to corn fields and that started to burn as well NJ State Forest Fire was also on scene assisting with the field fire. The Chief called for a 1st alarm assignment brining Hackettstown, Green Twp., Independence and Budd Lake fire companies in to the scene. The fire was knocked quickly but crew remained on scene for a couple of hours hitting hot spots and cleaning up a fuel spill. There were no injuries and the fire is under investigation by the Mount Olive Fire Marshal’s office, NJ State Police and the Warren County Fire Marshal’s office.   

 

Budd Lake Assists Byram Fire

March 2nd late afternoon the fire department was called to assist Bryam Fire with a house fire on Belton Rd. Ladder 58 with a crew of 6 and Chief 1 responded. Ladder 58 stood by a rapid intervention crew and chief 1 assisted with command. All units returned within 2 hours.

Budd Lake Engine 59 and Flanders Brush 98 responded mutual aid to Schooleys Mountain for a large brush fire. Engine 59 hit a hydrant and supplied water NJ forest fire and Mansfield Engine. Crews assisted with suppression once supply lines were established.
