Mount Olive Emergency Services Honored

First responders to the tragic school bus incident of May 17th 2018 on Route 80 in Mount Olive were honored at the Morris County 200 club awards dinner. Budd Lake Chief Dorlon, Asst. Chief Compano, Flanders Chief Wargo, Fire Marshal Detoro and Police Chief Beecher accepted plaques in recognition of the response of Mount Olive departments that day. @ Birchwood Manor

Budd Lake Assist Washington Twp. Fire

4/27/19 Became a busy afternoon. Budd Lake Fire and First Aid were dispatched mutual aid into Washington Township to a second alarm structure fire at Hastings Square. Ladder 58 and Engine 59 along with the Chiefs responded and stood by as man power and RIC. Budd Lake First Aid Rig 75 assisted Long Valley EMS with rehab. After returning to quarters Budd Lake Fire and First Aid were dispatched to Stedwick Village for an oven fire.

Budd Lake Fire Welcomes Firestone

Friday morning the fire department helped welcome the Firestone Tire Shop to the Budd Lake Section of Mount Olive. Engine 59 and Car 50, 51 and 52 were on hand to assist with the ribbon cutting ceremony and returned on Saturday for the open house we wish them the best of luck in Mount Olive.

Car And Truck Odd Crashes

Two odd crashes this month for the fire department in the beginging of the month a tractor trailer got to close to a deisel pump at a local gas station. The driver knocked over the pump Squad 56 secured the pump and assisted the tow company in moving the truck that got stuck on a small pole. Then On Friday May 10 BLFD and Atlantic EMS was dispatched to Old Wolfe rd for a vehicle into a store front. Luckily no occupants of the vehicle or deli were injured. BLFD assisted the building inspector with assessing the damage and securing the hazards of the scene.

Budd Lake Assists Hackettstown Fire

BLFD responded as the Rapid intervention team for a structure fire on Route 57 in Hackettstown, shortly after Ladder 58 arrived the crew was used for manpower to assist suppression and over haul. Car 50 and 52 assisted with command the crews were released within 2 hours.
