Budd Lake Firefighters Train On Roof Prop

Budd Lake Firefighters Took advantage of a vacant warehouse and used some storage racks and pallets to make a simulated roof cutting prop and metal cutting station. Crews took turns cutting roofs and poking through simulated celling’s as well as cutting metal bars and hosting tools up to the roof. Firefighters got some great training a special thank you to Lowes for donating plywood and sheetrock as well as the fire officers for going above and beyond.  

Firefighters Respond To Rt. 80 Rollover

Saturday night firefighter’s responded to Rt. 80 West for the car overturned units found the car down a hill the driver just had a few cuts. Squad 56 remained on the scene till the tow company pulled the car up the 50 foot embankment. The crew had to cut trees out of the way so the car could be removed.

Budd Lake Firefighters Respond To A Car Fire Next To A House

Sunday night August 26th firefighters responded to Anna Drive for a report of a car fire in the driveway Chief Dorlan arrived and reported a car fire with extension to the house. Engine 59 was first due and stretched a line on the fire and quickly knocked down the fire. Squad 56 sent their crew to the second floor and checked for extension. There was very little damage to the inside of the home but the car and siding were heavily damaged. Flanders Fire Company also responded along with Budd Lake First Aid Squad. There were no injuries and the fire is under investigation by the Mt. Olive Police and the Fire Marshal’s Office.   

Mt. Olive Fire Firefighters Extinguish Van Fire On Rt. 80

Late Afternoon on August 21st the Budd Lake and Flanders Fire Departments were dispatched to Rt. 80 East at mm 28 for a van fire. Units arrived and found a van fully involved with the grass starting to catch fire Engine 95 arrived first and stretched there front line on the fire followed by Engine 59 who assisted with extinguishing the fire. There were no injuries and the State Police are investigating the fire. Crews cleared up with in a half hour and the highway way was reopened.
