Budd Lake Assists With Apartment Fire

Saturday night Mount Olive Fire companies responded to Oakwood Village Building 8 for a reported fire in the kitchen. Car 92 arrived and reported smoke coming from the apartment he attempted to enter to see if anyone was inside just as Tower 96 and Engine 95 arrived and took a line into the apartment and made a quick knock on the fire. Engine 59 and ladder 58 also arrived and 59’s crew checked the 2nd floor for extension and 58 vented the building. There were three people treated at the scene and released. The Fire Marshals and Police investigated the fire.

Budd Lake Assists With Hackettstown Fire

Budd Lake Ladder 58 was asigned as a Raqpid Intervention Crew.

 Recently the Warren County Dispatch Center around 11 am starting receiving calls for a garage on fire on East Baldwin Street. Patrol reported heavy fire conditions from the garage as Chief 78-60 arrived and requested a 1st alarm box as the first engine company arrived and stretched a line and started knocking down the fire. Other units started arriving and a supply line was laid while a second line was stretched inside and quickly knocked down the fire on the first and second floors. Mutual aid assisted with extensive overhaul in the garage and on the first and second floors. Hackettstown First Aid, Independence Fire, Budd Lake Fire and Tri County Fire. There were no injuries and the fire is under investigation by the Hackettstown Police Department, Mount Olive Fire Marshal’s Office and the County Fire Marshal.
