Budd Lake Assist Hackettstown Fire

Budd Lake’s Ladder 58 responded as a rapid Intervention Crew.

December 2nd around 2 pm calls came into the Warren County Communications center for a chimney fire on countryside Dr. when units arrived they found fire coming from the chimney area and several windows on the second floor. As crews starting an interior attack a first alarm box was called bring Tri County, Independence, Budd Lake and Washington Bro. fire companies to the scene. The fire was knocked down within a half hour 3 firefighters were injured with minor injuries and transported to the hospital by Hackettstown First Aid. The fire is under investigation by the Hackettstown Police and the Mount Olive Fire Marshal’s Office.

Car Fire On Rt. 80

12/4/18 Budd Lake Fire and EMS responded to exit 25 on route 80 for a car fire with two patients on the ground. Engine 59 arrived and extinguished the fire and the patients were treated by EMS.


Budd Lake Assist Chester

Late morning Thursday December 20th calls started coming into the Morris County Communications Center of a barn fire on Parker Rd. in Chester Township. Chester Ladder 9 and Engine 62 were first to arrive and reported a well-involved maintenance shop and laid a supply line in from a hydrant out front. A second alarm was struck bringing in Washington Township and other mutual aid departments also a Tender Task Force was also dispatched to offset the hydrant system. Two Ladders were set up one in the driveway and one in the street and started putting water on the fire while several deck guns and master streams were deployed. The fire was brought under control several hours later but crews remained on scene well into the evening. There were no reported injuries; the fire was on the property of the Harrington construction company. The fire is under investigation by the Chester Police and other County and State Agencies.  

2018 Santa Visit

Saturday and Sunday December 22 and 23 Santa found some extra time to hang out with the Budd Lake Fire Department driving all over the district handing out teddy bears and candy canes. Saturday the Mount Olive Police assisted us. A fun time was had by all covering over 20 square miles we will see you next year.
