Budd Lake Firefighters Conduct Drills

Posted on November 6, 2016

Over the last month the firefighters took part in 2 drills with other departments. The first one was at the Warren County Fire Academy with the Allamuchy Fire Department practicing Rapid Intervention Crew drills using the class A burn building under live fire conditions rescuing trapped firefighters. Both departments took turns working together and learning each other’s tools.

The second drill was working with the Morris County Park Police and Mount Olive Police training on the 5-ton military trucks learning how to drive and operate the trucks driving on ruff terrain and using the winch system. Mt. Olive Township has a 5 ton high wheel truck to be utilized by the Fire Departments and Police for high water and large snow storms to get to places other trucks cannot get to.
