Budd Lake Crash Med-Vac’s One

late afternoon on Wednesday September 9th the Budd Lake Fire and Rescue Squads  were called to the intersection of Sandshore Road and Brookside for the head on crash. Chief 50 arrived and reported one victim with a serious leg injury and a lot of fluid in the roadway. Atlantic Ambulance’s EMS 5 arrived along with Medic 57 and started to assess the victim and requested a helicopter to fly. Squad 56 secured the cars and assisted ems with removing the victim from the car. Chief 52 and Engine 59 set up the landing zone at a nearby school. The second victim was treated at the scene and released, the roadway was reopened within an hour. Photo’s by Kevin Maloney
