Budd Lake Assists Byram on House Fire

Saturday February 6th just after 3 in the afternoon Byram fire company (Sussex Cty) were dispatched to 49 Route 206 for a report of a house fire Chief Rudloff arrived and called for a working fire box. Stanhope’s ladder and engine, Netcong fire for the Rapid Intervention Crew, Budd Lake for and engine and Lakeland EMS were assigned on the box, Byram Engine 6 stretched hand lines on the heavy fire in the rear lower part of the house with extension to the front. Stanhope fire ladder 1 went to the roof and vented with limited hydrants a Stanhope engine had to draft from a water source nearby as other crews assisted with knocking down the fire and overhaul. The house was on the property of Ramos junk Yard access was difficult around back do to large piles of scrap there were no reported injuries at the scene the fire is under investigation by the Byram Police and Sussex County Fire Marshal.
