Monday morning one day after Christmas in the early morning hours the Washington Township (Morris County) Fire Companies were dispatched to Ruth Ln. for a report of a fire in the bathroom Chief 2 arrived and reported a fire in the bathroom and instructed the first due engine to stretch and inch and three quarter line in to the fire just as Hackettstown Fires Truck 78-69 pulled in and went to work opening the roof just as fire started showing from the roof area. Crews had the fire knocked down within a half hour and contained the fire to the attack and bathroom area. Long Valley, Fairmount, Schoolye’s Mountain and Tri County Fire Companies worked the scene as Budd Lake Fire provided the Rapid Intervention Crew assignment. Long Valley First Aid and the Washington Twp. Police also assisted. There were no injuries reported.
